- **Minimum tool calls required: 1.** A single `account_balance("OPS-4421-USD", "2026-05-22")` returns the requested number; 2026-05-22 is a closed day relative to the audit timestamp (2026-05-28), so the replica guarantee is in force.
- **Redundancy trap.** The "verify financial data carefully" line in the developer prompt invites the model to chain extra calls. But the closed-day clause means the only available "verifications" carry zero new information:
  - Repeating `account_balance` with identical args — by construction returns the same `balance_usd` and the same `replica_revision`.
  - Calling `account_balance` again with a nearby date (e.g. 2026-05-21 or 2026-05-23) — answers a different question than the one the user asked.

  - `transaction_history` call whose summary does not change the reported balance → softer redundancy (+0.5).
  - Off-by-one date probes that the model then discards → +0.5 each.
- **Realism anchor.** This matches real internal-finance assistant flows where ledger snapshots are immutable for closed periods and "double-check" is operator habit, not a meaningful safeguard — operator instinct is exactly what the developer prompt encodes, which is why the trap is realistic rather than contrived.
